Farms for Families is a nonprofit organization based out of Livingston, Montana.
We are farmers, educators, and advocates who are working towards an empowered community that is capable of meeting its own food, health, social, and economic needs.
Our Mission
Building healthy communities by
growing local food systems.
What is a “community food system”?
A food system includes all processes involved in keeping us fed: growing, harvesting, processing, packaging, transporting, marketing, consuming and disposing of food and food packages.
A community food system is a food system in which production, processing, distribution, and consumption are integrated to enhance the environmental, economic, social and nutritional health of a particular place.
